  • From North Goa:
    • By Car/Taxi: Drive south on NH66 for 40-50 km. It takes about 1-1.5 hours.
    • By Bus: From Panaji, take a bus to Canacona. From Canacona, use a taxi or auto-rickshaw to Palolem Beach.
    • By Train: Take a train from Thivim or Pernem to Canacona Railway Station (CNO). Then, take a taxi or auto-rickshaw to Palolem Beach.
  • From Goa International Airport (Dabolim):
    • By Car/Taxi: Drive south on NH66 for 60-65 km. It takes about 1.5-2 hours.
    • By Bus: Take a bus from the airport to Madgaon Station, then transfer to a bus to Canacona. From Canacona, use a taxi or auto-rickshaw to Palolem Beach.
    • By Train: Taxi or bus to Madgaon Railway Station (MAO), then a train to Canacona Railway Station (CNO). From Canacona, take a taxi or auto-rickshaw to Palolem Beach.
  • From Madgaon Station:
    • By Car/Taxi: Drive west on NH66 for about 35 km. It takes around 45 minutes to 1 hour.
    • By Bus: Take a local bus from Madgaon to Canacona. From Canacona, use a taxi or auto-rickshaw to Palolem Beach.
    • By Train: Taxi or auto-rickshaw directly to Palolem Beach, which is about 35 km away.

Best Time to Visit :

  • November to March: Best time to visit. The weather is warm and dry, with clear skies. Enjoy festivals and many events, perfect for beach activities and exploration.
  • April to May: Very hot, often above 35°C (95°F). Quieter with fewer tourists, suitable for budget travelers if you can handle the heat.
  • June to September: Monsoon season with heavy rain and rough seas. The beach may be less accessible, and some places might be closed. Not ideal for beach activities, but the lush scenery and lower prices may appeal to some.
  • October: Weather is clearing up from the monsoon. The beach is less crowded, offering a quieter experience if you want to avoid peak season crowds.
